Maybe it’s because of my past career as a teacher and as a lifelong learner, but the Fall always seems like a fresh start. Back to school shopping, new pencils and notebooks, a first day outfit- those rituals for me as a momma are ending this year as my youngest child starts his senior year of college and my oldest two have finished school years ago. However, the urge to begin again is engraved in the smell of pumpkin spice coffee and the crackle of leaves crunching underfoot. For me, anyway…
So, here I am, beginning a blog, and checking in with you. This Fall will be my 5th “Potterversary” aka I have been doing this for five years. This is the third year since moving into our home with my very own studio space in our basement. It is also the halfway mark of my 2022 goal of “Putting the Fun in FUNctional” pottery.
I have many things to share, including an invitation to a studio show in December, so look for these little messages and musings in your email and on my website deedledoostudio.com for the latest news.
